Match Preview - Bashley (A)

The Acorns look to put Tuesday night’s defeat to Falmouth Town behind them as we travel to the Veho Community Stadium to face Bashley on Saturday.

This will be the Acorns second trip to Hampshire already this season after our opening day trip to Winchester City.

Ahead of Saturday’s clash, here is everything you need to know about our opposition.

OPPOSITION – BASHLEY

Stadium – Veho Community Stadium

Nickname – The Bash

Founded – 1947

Manager – Jack Williamson

Last Five – L-L-L-W-W

WHAT’S HAPPENED SO FAR?

The Bash suffered a slow start to the campaign only winning one of their opening seven games following their opening game win in the FA Cup.

But form has picked up for the Hampshire based side who have won back-to-back on the road against Didcot Town and Willand Rovers, seeing them occupy ninth in the league.

PLAYER TO WATCH – KYRAN SAMADI

The 19-year-old midfielder has been a dangerous threat for the Bash and proved that by netting a hat-trick against Didcot during their 3-1 win last time out.

Samadi is one of nine players aged under 20 in the Bash side and has placed himself already as the sides top scorer so far this season.
