Hartpury FC produced a proud defensive display to make it four games unbeaten with a goalless draw with high flyers, Winchester City on Saturday.
Two late Seth Locke saves secured a fifth game unbeaten at the 4ED Hartpury Stadium in this Southern League Div One South clash.
This fixture saw the Acorns squad missing a few key components, but still able to carve out attacking opportunities when Vanylson Silva just couldn’t quite reach a dangerous Sol Kent cross on eight minutes.
It took until the 29th minute for an opening opportunity, which fell to the visitors when Jahiem Dotse saw a one-on-one effort well stopped by Seth Locke, in the Acorns goal.
Winchester had another half chance on 37 minutes when Thomas Wright headed effort went well wide.

It was Winchester who had the opening chance after the restart when Wright snatched an effort inside the, only to see it saved by Locke.
Winchester had the best of the chances of the game and came very close to snatching all three points late on.
On 82 minutes Seth Locke made an incredible reaction save to deny an own goal before acrobatically turning an effort, destined for the top corner, over the bar two minutes later, making sure of a fantastic point for the Acorns.
The Acorns are back in action on Tuesday night as we welcome Cheltenham Town Reserves in the GFA Senior Challenge Cup.
